Shirime lurk among the twisted trees of the Shadow Forest, peering through the void with their singular eye. Drawn to movement but lacking clear sight, they rely on the shifting touch of the shadows to guide them toward lost souls.

Not eating in the traditional sense, they sustain themselves on fear and confusion, slinking through the gloom to expose their staring eye to travelers. The shudders of horror they invoke are their sustenance, nourishing their cursed existence.

But fear alone is not enough--when the time comes to spread their kind, the devils seek out a vulnerable host, gently pressing its unblinking eye into the creature's anus. A slow and grotesque transformation follows as the host's body warps, its head vanishing into nothing while hair and sagging flesh bloom, birthing yet another silent watcher of the dark.
